Further to the Open Meeting on modified phenolic resins hosted by the European Phenolic Resins Association (EPRA) in mid-October, two companies, Fenolit d.d and Uralchimplast, have declared the intention of moving towards the formation of a REACH Consortium to cover the following two product types:
- Formaldehyde, reaction products with cashew, nutshell liquid and phenol (CAS 67700-42-9)
- Formaldehyde, reaction products with cashew, nutshell liquid (CAS No. 68583-07-3)
Other parties with interests in this area of chemistry are invited to make contact with a view to cooperating on the formation of an appropriate REACH consortium to coordinate the information required to cover their obligations under the legislation.
